UPS to invest $41 million in El Paso - El Paso Inc

Atlanta-based United Parcel Service Inc. plans to invest $41 million to expand its facility at El Paso International Airport.

On Tuesday, City Council is scheduled to vote on whether to offer UPS a package of tax incentives.

The company’s investment would add another 42,000-square-feet to its facilities at 28 Leigh Fisher. UPS would also commit to retaining 234 full-time jobs and create 10 new jobs, according to a city presentation.

any dollar they put into Red River is cool with me as long as i never have to go there for Christmas again

Sorry man, this is investment in SCS logistics facilities. Which means increased capacity to inject volume into the small package Network. Allot of the stuff coming out of El Paso heads through Dallas area. If anything your odds of being sucked back to somewhere in Red River increase with this spend. Happy Peak!
