I agree it was on the hyperbolic side but consider what 22.4 does and could do. 1. This is great for new hires. Won't have to wait years at the bottom working 2 jobs and enduring will get a decent wage compared to what's out there. Meanwhile people that paid their dues and did there time who wouldn't touch 22.4 under normal circumstances will now have to give up everything they waited for because the company now has the power to pay someone less for the same work. How bout language stating that 22.4 people can be used all DOT qualified drivers before ratification shall be entitled to any driving work. That at least be some kind of a check on preventing abuse. How about company seniority comes before 22.4 people. How about anyone signing up for 22.4 can keep their current job while combining it with driving. After all this is being sold as a combo This would at least limit the potential to full timers losing hours. This 22.4 stuff could take away OT from everybody. It can make it easy to for company to settle scores with high seniority part timers by saying I dont like that guy let's take his job and make it a 22.4. He can go back to the sort aisle or load wall. I dont like that driver hes only gonna get 8 hours. I could go on but I think I've made my point. 22.4 must die.
