WILPA Feeder Accident; Driver Critical

Just heard in PCM. Feeder hit disabled vehicle. Truck rolled over. Happened on I 95 south in Philly near Woodhaven Rd. Anyone hear anything?

Got a look at the scene on my way to my area. 53fter, rig facing wrong way on the shoulder. Could only see undercarriage, however, it looks like trailer and cab were destroyed in a fire.

Again, we were told the driver is critical, but alive.

Looks like he went for one hell of a ride. Scary. Hope he will be ok.

Just saw an expanded segment of this accident was on the news I don't know how UPS was able to keep their name out of the broadcast. The reporter refered to it as a load of boxes. 6abc showed a video of the feeder being pulled upright out of a ditch and packages sliding about in the half torn open trailer.

In good weather you can usually make some pretty abrupt lane changes and corrections with a long box and stay in control.

It looked like in one of the shots that the side of the drunk's vehicle had damage. It's possible he didn't see it until almost the last second and jerked hard left to avoid it but clipped it anyway which caused the tractor to go even harder left. He over corrected right to keep from going into the far left lane or median and that jacknifed the trailer which sent him into the ditch.

My thoughts are with him and his family.
