I'm curious why (what should be a newly acquired feeder run) would then get a bid posted in our center as a TDP/Package car job. We've never had TDP jobs in our center yet they've been cutting Feeder runs left & right? Why would they not assign this new business to Feeders?

What is the proper way to sheet a package when you encounter an aggressive dog not on a leash? Had one yesterday and I sheeted it Not In 1. Is that correct?
I'm a 5 year full-time package car driver with 10 years total service wanting to go back to college and finish my computer science degree. I'm wondering if there is a way to get management and the union to agree so I can go back to preload. There are plenty of drivers that get scheduled off...
I'm a reg temp driver and didn't work today so I'm sitting here sipping some coffee looking out my front picture window and up pulls the FT bid driver to deliver across the street.
-pops bulkhead door

So, i got hired in August for a part time package handler position and i have been working here and plan to work here for another year at least. My only concern is do they lay off like union employees too with the seasonal hires after peak. Until now, i had to call out 3 times for legitimate...
I applied for a package handler position at my local UPS center. I got invited to and attended an information session. I was invited back for a tour at 5 in the morning, which I also intended. I was again invited back for an interview. The HR person told me to email her in two weeks if she...
Ok slightly different story here:
Thursday, I get an alert on my phone that my new motorcycle battery has been delivered to my house. I get home late from delivering other peoples packages all day and I don't see mine anywhere. This is not uncommon because I have 2 roommates who usually pick...
After many years of working with Drivers Helpers, I feel comfortable in sharing some observations. Patterns suggest we can group them into key groups. Of course, I'm not a psychologist, nor, do I play one on TV, however, having said that, here are my observations in no special order.
The...
I just got back from my first interview for PT package handler (preload). It was scheduled for 5:15 AM. There were 3 people ahead of me, and each took about 30-45 minutes to interview. I didn't get in until 5:50. 10 minutes later, my interview was over. The subject of my felony conviction...
I know the drivers have tons of things that bug them and we preloaders may cause a few of those issues; however we also have things that bother us. . .
1. Add/cuts that are given to us when we are wrapping up our trucks.
2. A huge add with smeared writing so we have no clue where...
