I'll take your condescending, idiotic questions at face value here, even though you don't deserve it.
You are clearly looking for a nice little circlejerk with the liberals here, but I've actually given you some honest feedback. I'm sure you'll ignore it, but that's your problem, not mine.

1.) Very little. Most of us have a backbone comprised of personal responsibility, faith, and a desire to protect our families.
2.) We don't think "everyone" is out to take what we have earned. We are just going to do our best to make sure no one can do so.

5.) Because the fundamental right to bear arms is not the government's to take away. I have the God given right to my choice of implements for self defense.
6.) Would you be concerned if someone you knew had their spine hacked apart with a pair of hedge clippers? Now imagine you shrink that person, and put them into a uterus.
7.) The problem is solved by keeping your legs closed, or your member in your pants. At the very least using condoms. Not by throwing money around.
8.) Socializing anything requires a fundamental change from America's desired free markets. We don't want socialized healthcare for the same reason we don't want a nationwide adoption of socialism. I would also contest your use of the words "works", and "civilized".

99 out of a hundred anti-gun people wouldn't know an assault weapon if it bit them in the ass. All they know is that they are afraid of "scary" looking weapons with pistol grips and weird looking sites that hold a bunch of bullets. They keep calling these AR-15 style weapons automatics when in fact they are semi-automatics just like thousands of regular hunting rifles. They are NOT assault weapons. A true assault weapon can be set to automatic fire in which all you do is pull the trigger once and it will continue to fire until you release it or its out of ammo. Assault rifles (truly automatic rifles) are already highly controlled and take a special license to own one--something that is not easily attainable.

Your wisdom about it being both sides at fault is largely undermined by your initial post where you mocked republicans, and asked a series of condescending, and arrogant questions that you could easily find logical answers to with a quick google.

I don't want Google answers, dawg. I want to know what the republicans on this board think, the people who are my union brothers and sisters, and those who manage the company I work for.

There's a lot of truth to this. Unfortunately there's some really major divides, and both sides have dug in their heels on those core issues instead of finding a middle ground or compromising and doing a bit of give and take on what matters most to each side.

This has snowballed into neither side wanting to give an inch on anything, even the stuff they're not that passionate about.

And it's only going to get worse, because both sides have come to pretty much despise the other. Sabotaging the opposition's political agenda is now the norm instead of working across the aisle for the greater good. Republicans escalated this into a political war under Obama, when they flat out refused to work with him on anything. Democrats haven't forgotten, and they're determined to pay them back for it. So on it goes.

Not to mention they only account for 2 percent of murders, handguns account for 70 percent. Now you can pass that ban and instead of 20 deaths, you might have 5 or 10 instead. Nothing short of a complete and total gun ban is the end goal

You think I sit around all day or something? I'm a UPS driver - we're some of the hardest working people in America.

I'd just rather see my tax money spent on helping people who need it, than on another weapon system we don't need to kill people I don't know, and who likely pose little danger to me in the big picture.

I'd rather see my taxes go toward healthcare for all, and improving/overhauling the educational system, than another prison or guards to police that prison, which is filled with people who are there because the government spent my tax dollars on a decades long failed drug war that the majority of the country could care less about.

That doesn't surprise me. The management team at my building wants to gobble his orange nuts.

One literally talked about the Kavanaugh hearing during the pcm - how it was disrespectful to Trump to 'drag his pick through the mud' and how he didn't appreciate the way dems 'created a circus just to embarrass my president'. I was kind of taken aback by it. People were just looking around at each other like Wtf? Can we hit the road now, Brown O'Reilly?

I think it was possibly because it occurred during work hours and dude must've thought we wanted his summary of events, like we couldn't see it after work or something, and without his commentary taboot.
