We are in agreement on all of this. The federal government attempts to save us all from ourselves, and believes that it is the solution to all of man's everyday problems. We would all be much better off if our lawmakers would read the constitution, and pass only those laws that the founding fathers outlined in Section 8.
We should each control our own pension/retirement plans, not the government, and not the companies or unions. If an individual CHOOSES to allow one of these other entities to control his money, he should have that option, but this should be an option, not a requirement.
