We'll just use gypsies. Hoffa is still in charge.Feeders drivers are going to make money moving trailers all over the country
That can be arranged. UPS has some damn good lobbyists.I guess there’s a new 24.7 driver classification....
You drive 24 hours a day
It's true. We now haul human crap. That was once a prohibited biomedical material. That can be arranged. UPS has some damn good lobbyists.
Exactly what I thought also.
Biden just spewing crap to make it seem like he can do something?
I do find it funny they’re supposed to be all for the workers but it sounds like the “plan” is just to try and expand the hours the trucking industry works.
Yeah that’ll work. Record number of people quitting their jobs. Let’s work those left harder.
Y’all are screwed. Bring dinner for real. Lol.

Been here a while...Dude. No doubt 70 hour weeks are in our future. No doubt about it.
The California ports are going to be running 24/7 and UPS is one of the companies to help transport loads. We all know UPS will give all the work to contractors so there will be minimal impact to hourlies.I would really like some clarification on what the point of this is. UPS, FedEx and Walmart are already 24/7 operations. The only thing we could do is start delivering Sundays. We can’t deliver overnight. Tractor trailers are already 24/7.
I’m truly confused as to what they (government) expect? What, do they want UPS feeders to start delivering loads to Target and Walmart that normally other trucking companies would do?
I read this whole article and it doesn’t explain how these UPS, FedEx, Walmart etc. can do anything more than they are already doing.
You guys have pkg drivers working over 60 right now? Throughout the year?Been here a while...
The only delivery drivers coming close to 60 hours are the ones trying to avoid being forced in on Saturday. You guys have pkg drivers working over 60 right now? Throughout the year?
I agree completely. This is nothing more than Corporate Happy Talk. I am a little afraid we will be a target when the inevitable shortages happen. Biden could be setting UPS up to be a scapegoat...I would really like some clarification on what the point of this is. UPS, FedEx and Walmart are already 24/7 operations. Hold my beerWe can’t deliver overnight.
Well duh but if there’s a party that claims to be for us it’s the demsWhy? The Democratic Party doesn't give two s about middle-class workers. They care about allowing millions of immigrants in, mandatory vaccines and what bathroom you can use depending on what gender you feel like being that day.
The most interaction Lunchbox Joe has with his union constituency is playing golf with the NEA.
