30 years ago when some local police departments needs Spanish speaking Officers they recruited them from the nearby major cities.
What the departments later found out that these interpreters were telling their buddies to do is come to the new area and do whatever crimes they wanted. Their reasoning was that since they were the interpreters they could help everyone not get charged with a crime by lying. One really bad dude even was seen driving around in a new drug lord's private vehicle. Not the brightest idea.

I would make resisting arrest an automatic additional sentence. It won't solve all problems, but it may help.

It is proposed that direct cash payments be made to " violence interruptors".....what is such you say? Well, they are hardened street thugs convicted of felony assault, served time etc. for violent crimes.......yes, you read that right.....to "interrupt" violence in the streets....the idea being they know what goes on in the hood and are best at stopping it.

No? This is the kind of thinking going on.

Pay attention folks......coming to a town near you.
