Watching people debate the direction of a news story and its meaning is a quite common occurrence these days and I can understand both sides doing so. But what if both sides are wrong as a result of the story itself is completely false and intended as pure propaganda?

Sometimes understanding what the media is and what it can be used for is worth remembering. From the National Security Archives, a declassified document on the use of Propaganda in the Middle East used during the early Cold War period. Govts tend to recycle tactics that worked in the past so why would they change such tactic now? Just some food for thought going forward.
