Sounds like Amazon should take the blame to me.

Sometimes it’s best to take the path of least resistance. Amazon doesn’t need a second headquarters. The construction workers and employees will become targets by some. Why spend the time and energy for negative publicity. A brilliant move by amazon. Or should I say “brilliant non-move?”
Given where you're at now how come you're not hollering for a wall to keep Venezuelans out of Colombia? Oh that's right, many of them are Colombian refugees who went to Venezuela when Columbia exploded back in the nineties.
One of the drivers behind the ACA was that 86% of all personal bankruptcies was due to medical bills which in turn meant that a lot of creditors including small rural hospitals didn't get paid. The number today is 58% . That's not down as low was hoped for but is it better. BTW I'm still waiting for Van T to explain to us just exactly what is " social insurance". Based on his earlier comments perhaps it could mean that "social insurance" is a benefits program that you the individual can draw from but those the individual can't draw from is "socialism".

No, most of them are Venezuelans fleeing a very bad situation. Colombia has been pretty stable for a good while now. The leftists in the jungle lost. Most Colombians in Venezuela and elsewhere had returned home years ago.
