And could someone here explain why this happened ?

Seriously?
The guy is President of the United States and he’s reduced himself to pushing swag at 10% off.

I don't need to read it.
It's really not the Obamacare he wanted, nor is it, what the people wanted.

Paying mandatory premiums to private insurance companies isn't government healthcare !
It stays a pro profit system, and I don't like it.

That is cheap to what it will be in 7 years... by then it will double in the US.
But it's ok, free ER Care for all !

As I remember, you don't even get that free ER care in some of the Socialist Democracies in Europe if you are not a citizen. It might have changed in the last 15 years.

That is true, even with the EU.
If you can talk and walk, and have no proof of healthcare insurance - you'll be turned away. Even here in Canada.
Of course if you're into a bad accident or have an heart attack or simular and can't move , you'll be treated.

Basically, don't even try to use the ER (or any other medical center), as a Walk-in-Clinic if you don't have an insurance card - won't work !

There you go ... there's an example of something the US can learn from the European Socialist Democracies.

In Canada or Europe you can't deduct housing mortgage payments.
Also, in the US, the only people that enjoy cheap or free healthcare, are the ones like you (UPS and union).
You pay healthcare insurance before taxes, while other Americans need to pay health insurance after taxes (from net pay).

Is that fair ?

If you consider $6000 out of pocket a year as cheap.

Well, someone has to earn money in the US ! Be it the commercials, big Pfarma, or insurance companies.
Gee, even your clinics get to earn a profit.

Someone has to pay for it !
then invest in these entities, reap the rewards........alot of big PHARMAS (not sure of the PFARMAS) do quite well and return a decent dividend.....maybe you should consider an investment in drug companies that have rights patent drugs that are going generic.......do some homework.....maybe someday you'll be a member of the 1% club

Oh..never mind, everybody in Canada is a member of 100% club.......if you can't take care of yourself, Klein will contribute 100% to ensure you're well-being

Oh, you think the US has only discoverd new drugs , eh ?
A lot of your drugs were invented outside of your country. As like Bayer (maker of Aspirin, or diabetic meters and test strips), Canada as in Insulin, it's kind of amazing "socialist" countries can invent things, eh ?

As in Farms (due to a typo), they are actually the future with now 7 Billion people on earth and never ending growing.
There won't be enough food on the planet to feed everyone.
This will undoubtly benefit North America as we have the largest agricuture.

China on the other hand has the money and education to develope new drugs and medicine, and all that just for small percentage of the costs involved.

You can broaden your definition of socialism out large enough that it essentially becomes meaningless. If Obama is a socialist then so is pretty much everybody else, including the republican candidates. The only true socialist on capitol hill is Bernie Sanders. Actual card carrying socialists don't seem to think too much of Obama either.

We are in agreement whether you realize it or not. This is what I have been saying all along.

This is an except from the link you posted:
Democratic Socialists are more interested in protecting ordinary people from unregulated capitalism through regulation and progressive taxation.
Some of the socialist agenda is already part of American life, according to Wharton and others.

Social Security, Medicare, unemployment benefits -- all reflect socialistic values, says Van Gosse, an associate professor of history at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who has researched socialist movements in the United States and Latin America.
The widely accepted notions of public education and Pell Grants for college students are socialistic in origin, Gosse says. They fit well with the socialistic premise that government should provide basic security from the cradle to the grave to all of its citizens, he says.

Socialists scoff at Obamacare and they don't applaud the passage of the recent health care bill. They wanted a national "single-payer" health insurance plan with a government option. The bill that Obama championed didn't have any of those features.

As an aside:
I have stated many times in the past that the biggest hang-up I had with Obamacare program was that is was a half-assed, messed up piece of legislation. What a National Healthcare plan should do is cover everybody but allow people with the means, to get health care outside of the National Healthcare program.

I do not know of a Western style democracy that exists today that is not a form of Socialism ... I would be happy to be enlightened if someone can come up with an example.

Think of all the Democracies as visible light and as we know, light is composed on the colors of the rainbow.
The most Socialistic countries
(Portugal, Spain, Italy, Norway, etc) are in the red part of the spectrum while the US is violet at the other end of the spectrum. Obama and the Democrats, based on my observations would like to move the USA to somewhere in the green area of the spectrum which is where you find France, UK Germany, etc.
(This is not exact or scientific folks, just an analogy).

Yes Good ole Bayer, which actually invented aspirin in 1863, a date during which I can safely state Germany was not a socialist state.

Yes Good ole Bayer which also gave us Heroin and manufactured Zyklon B , a chemical used for gas chambers for such resorts such as Auschwitz and other extermination camps.

Good ole Bayer whose executive Fritz ter Meer, sentenced to seven years in prison by the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal, was made head of the supervisory board of Bayer in 1956, after his release.( nice going Germany, a murderer gets seven years in prison and resumes a lucrative career)

And I believe that insulin was "discovered" by a Canadian in the early 1920s, long before socialism had a major impact in Canada. But good try anyway. Maybe your misinformation is an indictment of the socialist educational system , the teat of which you nourished yourself at in your early formative years.

I kind of agree with you, except you had to mention Norway ! It's been the best place to live for about 6-7 years in a row (according to the UN). Canada had that role in the 90's, when we had it for many years.

Anyways, you are right. What makes America different ? Even millioniares get food stamps and unemployment in the US (something the republicans want to stop now) - Socialized countries like Canada - they would have not gotten it in the first place !
Actually if you made over $50K here in 1 single year, even though you paid into Unemployment Insurance - you're not entiteled to it (You already earned enough for the year - so the "Socialist Canadian Government" says.

And Hoax, yup, every American thinks every other country is socialist, because they have national healthcare. That's the main reason.
If other countries had unions and the US didn't, that would be socialist, too !

Getting sick of it. Really.
