My rear view camera monitor don't power off, or dim enough to keep from blinding and distracting during the night. Any quick hacks to cover the screen between stops???[emoji403]

Slightly loosen the wing nut on the mount. Then you can point it down until you need it. I've been doing it for years. Some mounts may be different though.

One of the methods is to check the monitor when stopping and starting up at intersections and if you have to brake suddenly. How can you do this if the monitor has been moved?

The new LCD ones have a hand nut on top you can loosen and turn the monitor away from you. The old tube ones have a brightness dial that you can actually turn so low it practically turns the screen off.
