Authorities: UPS driver didn't leave enough room for train after crossing tracks, stopping in Flower - Gainesville Times
Korey Brown, 30, of Hall County crossed over the railroad tracks in his UPS box truck and stopped for the traffic light, waiting to turn left onto Atlanta Highway around 11:25 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from Georgia State Patrol.
After crossing over the tracks, the rear of his truck was still in the path of an approaching southbound Norfolk Southern cargo train.
The train struck the left rear side of Brown’s truck while he was still inside.
