Tony, you will appreciate this. My son has been in San Jose for the past two weeks on business. He is flying back to Philly today. This is his fb post about LAX:

"If you're ever flying on the west coast, do yourself a favor and avoid connections in LAX as much as possible. Worst airport ever!"

Immigration at LAX is a nightmare.

I totally agree with this. I do everything in my power to avoid LAX when flying. John Wayne (Santa Ana) airport is great and much closer to us, so I try to use it whenever I can. Unfortunately it is not a large airport and does not offer as many routes..

I'm a citizen too, but it doesn't make it any better. LAX is one of the worst designed in the US. The only worse is Dulles in DC
