Should be more than $.80 for a year raise for part timers . $3 a year is a fair raise increase
30% raise. Sign me upShould be more than $.80 for a year raise for part timers . $3 a year is a fair raise increase
The problem is part timers don't vote. The spread between part time and full time raises has been ridiculous over the decades$1.00/yr would be fine by me. My bigger issue is the starting rate. $10.00/unskilled, $11.00/skilled is way too low. Starting rate should be between $13.00 and $15.00 unskilled.
In New York minimum wage is going up to $15 ... It's time to cut the check for part time employees too

That sounds a bit far fetched. That's what my steward says.
One of the old-timers who made $100k working PT here just retired. With OT after 5, he was making bank with all of the doubles and triples he pulled.
Next summer is our next contractHave to look into that more about contract there a lot of misinformation being told . Im only few years in so first contract negotiations
That sounds a bit far fetched.
I don't know anything about triple or quadruple time.Hey, if you're making about $30/hr straight time, and you get overtime after 5...and you're working 10+ hours a day, you come close. Add triples or quadruples into the mix, and you're there. The guy I knew did it.
Triple or quadruple shifting.I don't know anything about triple or quadruple time.
Not saying he didn't make some coin but I think he is blowing smoke....
