The "anchors" were things like fuel economy standards, environmental regulations and other measures that would be responsible progressive items. Instead, you have businesses not paying anything in taxes, a skyrocketing deficit, and wages that still aren't keeping pace with the cost of living. Sure, there are hundreds of thousands of jobs out there that are unfilled. Why? Because they are crappy jobs, OR they're jobs his uneducated base could never hope to get.
