You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
So, what is the purpose of it, if not to buy goods?
Ups is using it to track inventory of its logistics customers.

In another 5-10 years or so every cellphone, self driving car, Amazon echo, smart home device, ect will using it to transfer information to each other and make micro payments.

One has to look at the technology behind the coins. Right now blockchain technology is pretty much the equivalent of early 90's internet. People thought the internet was cool but what uses did it actually have? That's what is happening now people are figuring out how to use it for the purpose they want. The technology is going nowhere and will change the way society functions as much as the internet has.

Is that in the next 2-3 years or 20 years? That's the million dollar question.

Funny we are talking about this while a young guy next to me at the gym is listening to a YouTube video about crypto.

I can say right now, I have no idea what the crap you are talking about.

Huh?

What is a good site to understand what this crap is about?

I only resist when it makes no sense to me.
This honestly made no sense to me either for a good while.

Search "blockchain technology explained"

And "iota machine to machine payments"

I still struggle with grasping the whole machine to machine payment thing.

You don’t see this as a dot com bubble? A stock soared when word came out they had a website. Once block chain becomes the norm, bitcoin could be par with the USD, or less.

Sure and just as the dotcom there will be winners and losers.

People often forget Amazon google ect were part of the dotcom boom
And bust.

The strong that have the best technology that enhances society the most will boom. The ones that are largely useless will bust.

Why are they still valuing Litecoin in US dollars or Bitcoin?

I have a better idea; Value it in...

1 Litecoin= 20 Patti the platypus.

Sorry, I don't see Litepay making inroads till it is stable and secure.

From the article you linked...
"A recent study has found that 10% of all ICO proceeds have been lost to hacks and fraud, and Clayton’s fear is that many uneducated investors are losing lots of money. He even went on to promote Facebook’s recent ICO advertising ban:

Yeah ICO's. Lots of them were scams. Just about everyone was happy to see regulation come to the ICO market.

Litepay is like a middle man. It converts litecoin to usd immediately at the time of transaction. So there's not a huge need for stability.

Litepal which is coming later this year will be a way for merchants to directly accept litecoin with no conversion. I agree for many to accept that it'll need some stability.

But litecoin or bitcoin or whatever has to go much much higher for it can stabilize.
