I cashed in some BTC for the first time the other day. It will pay for my next vacation. My “stack” went up in value over $2000 in less than 24 hours. I couldn’t resist so I pulled the trigger on that specific amount. I only started investing in it because I thought it would be better than saving dollars in my bank’s savings account. It’s been much better. 😁

Don't forget to pay about 600 or 700 dollars in taxes on that extra income.

Anyone gambling?

These alternative currencies are gaining serious traction, and have made their investors very rich. Swiss Bank and a growing number of international corporations are accepting the new currencies (now over 260,000 merchants accepting Bitcoin in Japan alone). Microsoft, Dell, Subway etc etc

Litecoin, for example, has gone up 10 fold in 5 months.

Ripple soared 50 fold in 3 months before settling down to a 25 fold increase.

There is now serious discussion about the possibility of cryptos completely replacing cash. The dollar, and gold may soon be replaced.

A wise investor should have at least a little exposure in their portfolio, or they may miss the investment opportunity of a lifetime.
boy did i :censored2: up

well i asked so many ppl to invest in btc with me and no one did. i had a :censored2: friend who ended up mining it at some point, and he still didnt have hte brains or decency to do it. i remember i even asked a manager at work that we should do it. i wasnt given proper basic investment advice which is if youre young and an investment is a question then invest something long term! my dad was always so conservative with his investment advice.

i was at that semi nerdy friends house long ago and he was poor. i think he quit a railway conductor job which ironically if he invested in btc or real estate that was his best path to being rich; same for me. i think i was depressed or just getting depressed at the time because it was right after i figured out how much of our world was a lie, and we had intense debates. he could not be persuaded. we were so damn early. trying to convince anyone i knew to go in on btc with me was driving into a wall.

my dad and mom shouldve known better than to refuse gold silver and btc outright. if something is a question you invest a little.

i told my younger relative not to make the same mistakes i did.

i dont get how we can :censored2: up so bad as friends and as a generation. how does the knowledge not get passed down.
