Bragging About Your Wages On Social Media Is Just Dumb!

Yes, we all know that expensive places exist.
And we all know they're irrelevant if you want to claim a wage is lower middle class.
Nationally, it's not just above that line.

It's above the median by itself on a single wage.

Nobody cares if you're from an expensive place. Should everyone here chime in and say "That average doesn't speak to me!!@!!"

Nobody cares. We are not talking about you. We are talking about the wage.
Just saying the union wage in some places is just getting by.

80k as a single wage is above the median household income in most places.
Throw in a wife with a cashier job at target and 50/hrs a week for the driver, and you're making 120-130k as a household.

There is nowhere that will accept whining about that.

We were talking about a family with one earner, no?

Yeah, and one earner is over 100k. The 80k is for no overtime at all, and we know that doesn't happen.
You cannot earn 100k as an utterly unskilled labor single income and then whine.
You should be on the center's line right after start time. More whining than Eagle fans after they stop serving the beer.

Yes, because the job actually does really suck. Management makes the daily experience terrible, and 100k isn't enough to deal with the BS.
But all of those whiny drivers also spent all their income, piled up debts, and have no other skills to get a different job.

Yeah but $140,000/year is working 12-13 hours EVERY day. And some of that is forced. I don’t think the public will be 100% onboard or not with a single issue such as pay. Many of the issues that are going on now heavily outweighs the perception of our wage. The pandemic really showed the public how “important” we are.
Public will only see the wage numbers....compared to their own.
