Cleveland knew he was a throwaway QB but needed to spend money for their salary cap.

And he isn't really that terrible. About as good as the rest of their QB's. If he gets beat up playing no big loss.

He got his ego stroked too much and thought he was better than he is. He isn't hopeless if he can really work hard to learn the game but I get the impression he's as dumb as a rock.
