I thought it would be cool but didn't think it would be amazing.


After seeing it the distance I'd drive to see it went from 2-3 hours to 8-10.

Pictures do not even come close to the experience.

I'd like to see the real deal. You are a meteorology nerd, so I understand.

I did the pinhole thing with my 3 yo grandson, but at 70% it wasn't really enough to get him engaged. Maybe next time.

Totality honestly changed everything.


The last 2-3% is completely different than the rest of the eclipse. Gets noticably cooler (especially when it's 100 out) your eyes feel weird it doesn't feel like a cloudy day. It's more like having dark sunglasses on.

The then when it goes dark it's just like wow. Saw a few stars or planets. Not sure which. And it looks like the beginning of dawn 360 degrees around you.
