They were promising way more than the fund could afford. Remember Dave bragging about how great his pension was going to be? Those cuts aren't really that bad. Just bring things more in line with other plans. The cuts suck but a little pain now or everything goes away.

One thing Howie did right… He always kept our pension in check when everybody was screaming for a pension raise like those guys upstate but he held his ground... we also have outside advisers helping us with the fund.
