Short term thinking. Wouldn't take a big payout for a few years when you have a chance to get with a team that is putting in the work to rebuild. The Browns have proven they don't have any intention of getting better.
What if he gets hurt before then?

Expect the Browns to draft him.
They always have great picks. So why the hell aren't they successful? One common denominator in the situation. And it isn't lack of talent.

They do have a few talented players. But way too many gaping holes. They need to plug those before they spend a lot of money on a shiny new QB for other teams to break.
Poor wording on my part, I meant with the front office. They need to clean house and prove that they want to be successful. Because they haven't demonstrated it thus far. And it's bs for the fans who support them
