I believe contributing to the decline in kids playing football is the number of kids that are immigrants or children of immigrants who have no interest in football. They live for soccer, like the HS where they interviewed the coach in Manassas Park. That area has a large Hispanic population.

While that might be true in specific areas I think overall it’s negligible.

Lots of places are limiting contact days at practice. I say give them all of the contact they want but don’t wear helmets at practice. Rugby style tackle
