I want to ask you guys something. If a friend of your child was in an abusive relationship, and you know the dad, would you tell him what’s going on or stay out of it so your own child isn’t put in the middle of a huge drama scene?

The problem is the person in the relationship has to recognize it and want out. Otherwise anyone else is just spinning their wheels or even making it worse on her.

That’s what I told my daughter. Tell her how you feel about it then leave it alone. Nothing you can do. The guy is slowly isolating her from everyone, you know standard abusive behavior. He won’t let her go anywhere without him. Doesn’t help that the guy comes from a Muslim household and I’m sure that’s influencing his behavior also.
