What’s wrong with that? I think it’s great for the farmers. Monsanto has been making their lives miserable for a long time.
How in the hell is Monsanto responsible for where their seed ends up? It’s not like they’re taking helicopters and dumping it over fields?

Just because a company is :censored2:ty doesn’t mean they should be punished unjustly.

Just like the “roundup causes cancer” trials. There’s yet to be one shred of definitive evidence that roundup actually causes cancer. Yet jury gladly find them guilty because they don’t like the company.

The same way farmers weren’t responsible for where Monsanto’s seeds ended up, and yet Monsanto sued THEM.

Monsanto Has Sued Farmers For 16 Years, Never Lost A Case | Food Democracy Now

“Monsanto can’t control wind, rain, pollinating insects, and cross-contamination carried out by nature for neighboring farms.”

Exactly. That’s like suing a gun manufacturer because they made a gun instead of the person that fired the gun.
Its like the DNR trying to stop the spread of invasive weeds and zebra muscles in our lakes up here. As long as ducks, geese and turtles (and dozens of other creatures) travel between lakes its IMPOSIBLE to stop. At a lot of the more popular boat landings the DNR makes you go through a steam cleaning of your boat and trailer---and all water must be drained including live wells. A real pain in the ass. Millions of dollars being wasted.

Monsanto was suing farmers when their modified crops came up in other fields.

Turnabout.

Like I said 2 wrongs don’t make a right

There should have been a fairly high percentage for monosato to win those lawsuits.
What options did the farmers have other than suing Monsanto? I would bet that after Monsanto won lawsuits against some farmers it put them out of business. At least if they fight back they might have a chance.

This is a situation of we need a little common sense.

I’ve seen farmers that deserved it too. I think it was a Missouri farmer that had reused the seed 3-4 years in a row.
