When my church opened its daycare we were only charging about $150. Way less than most other places. We weren't looking to make a profit though.

I’m sure there must’ve been a waiting list.

We were full up. Most were welfare (a lot of them single parents) that wouldn't have been able to work otherwise. The state paid the daycare costs (a bit less than the nominal full price) but we took that as full payment.

Yeah I know. Place had great hours too. 5:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Damn you're lucky. If we had a second one. They would have only knocked 10% off the price for each kid. So we'd have been paying a total of $3,240.

Like you said though the hours were great 630am-630pm.
