For those city slickers who don't know this is a frostless water spigot. The pipe (if installed correctly) is buried about six feet in the ground and would be connected in the basement of the house--below the frost line. If the handle is placed in the down position the water is off and will actually drain back down the pipe below the frost line. The hose should never be left hooked up to the spigot if freezing weather is predicted.That’s never good View attachment 329135
