I have only seen a black snake in my yard and no spiders like that….yet. I’m in the city, so I’m guessing there aren’t a lot here. Now out in the country, anything goes. Lol.

Plus, we have a bug man that comes regularly to spray around our house. We don’t like creepy crawlies in the house. We’ve already had our house tented for termites and treated for rats (pretty common here).

You keep bait stations outside? Do that and seal any cracks/openings around the house. Trim any vegetation that comes close to the the house, especially the roof.

Yes. We’ve had all that done. Problem in Florida is, the rats live in the trees. They’re not like the rats in big cities. Hopefully, we won’t see or hear evidence of any more. I’m not sure if the guy on the other side of me has done any of that. His yard is pretty over grown also. My sister’s house on the other hand, is very well maintained.
