Wait so you're saying you need to own another home somewhere else just to make Minnesota bearable. Yeah sounds like a great place to live.
Don't be jealous that a lot of Mn. can afford to do that unlike living in Ca. and having your whole life savings tied up in a two million dollar doublewide that you will eventually lose your ass on.

I've lived and worked in snow country 99% of my life and I can only recall chaining up once just to see how they worked. I decided they were more hassle than they are worth. When I even think of chains I don't associate them with Mn. It's more of a California / Colorado mountain thing.
Chains are a mountain thing. If MN had the mountains we do in the west you'd be chaining up every winter. Ttku.....
