If he’s a good father, that’s the most important thing. I’ve dated girls that didn’t have a father that was really caring about them, very needy. My wife had a typical Italian father, he didn’t show a lot of emotion, he had 3 daughters, but I was always uneasy around him. He always made it clear that consequences were inevitable if I didn’t treat his daughter right. Being a dyed in the wool, 💯 % Italian I understood. 🤣

I would’ve loved for my daughters to have had a dad with his mentality about fatherhood. My youngest daughter played soccer for 5-6 years, three of those years on two teams at the same time. Her dad went to ONE game in those years and bitched the whole time. He never went to any parent-teacher conferences in her life. Didn’t go to either of her graduation parties. He fooled me from day one about what a good dad he was. Oh well, water under the bridge.
