I would’ve loved for my daughters to have had a dad with his mentality about fatherhood. My youngest daughter played soccer for 5-6 years, three of those years on two teams at the same time. Her dad went to ONE game in those years and bitched the whole time. He never went to any parent-teacher conferences in her life. Didn’t go to either of her graduation parties. you not, we were in our mid twenties, I would pull up to drop her off, and we’d be talking for a while, he’d start flashing the front light to get her in an me gone! Unbelievable.
I agree. I used to tell him that he was missing out on the amazing person she is.

40 years later, I’d have to say yes. Only women I both loved and feared at the same time. Fantastic mother, great cook and sammich maker. But dangerous.

Nothing is worth missing that time. I was an angry driver when my kid was a toddler, he was asleep when I got home. I bought more junk on my routes to bring home in my cooler for him! I woke him up many times.
