It’s amusing to me when a customer moves from a 1030 commit area out to my route, a 1630 commit, and they realize they won’t get their “urgent “ package til sometime in the afternoon. They’re like, But they told me I would get P1 service. Me-Yep, that’s what you’re getting, 1630 P1 service. Hahahahaha

Yeah too often someone will run a little business out of their home and move from a place where they got morning deliveries to one that got delivered in the afternoon. They would complain about how they absolutely had to have their deliveries earlier.

OK, then pay for AM deliveries.

UPS caves if you make a complaint.

UPS caves if you make a complaint.

I had a customer who lived in an out of the way spot that was in kind of a void between routes. Her deliveries could end up on several different drivers. She wanted her stuff early and threw a fit if she didn't get her way. She knew some big shot at UPS and if she was the least bit unhappy it ended up as a corporate complaint. She was pretty much crazy on top of it so you had to be really careful what you said to her or she would take it the wrong way.

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
Today is the perfect example of why I run Orion and just laugh away.

Had like 15 air stops today. Almost all of them with ground. Orion expects me to deliver the ground with all of them except my last air stop. For starters it's my last air stop. No more commits so why wouldn't I deliver the ground. Second it's a 1000 shelf stop so it's easily accessible. Third it wanted me to deliver stop a's air. Drive to stop b less than a tenth of a mile away deliver their ground then come right back and deliver stop a's ground.

Let's not act like most are geniuses either
It’s frustrates me honestly. I look at both the package planners in our building, neither have driven, never worked in Ops. They don’t have a clue what it’s like. I got into it with one a few weeks ago because she couldn’t figure out why it was so bad to raise SPC during peak.

I asked her how she would ask a guy to take 10 more stops after he’s done 250 and worked 12+ hours. Because that’s all she’s doing, just behind a computer screen. It’s bull :censored2:
