They also control our pension AND medical. How convenient! Ever wonder how we got to this point? The problem is the year with no representation
Those hired at $13 to start also have health insurance, pension and the Union to protect them.I think you’re wrong. People will look at this as an example of why a Union is no good. Amazon is paying their people $15 and yet the Teamsters couldn’t even get a $15 minimum? Plus the fact that the majority who voted, voted no and were ignored because of a technicality? Their own union ignored what they wanted and betrayed them? Doesn’t look good at all. And then there is the fact that the IBT themselves came up with the 22.4 idea....
And 99% don't care. They want the $2Those hired at $13 to start also have health insurance, pension and the Union to protect them.
And of those, how many will even be around the 9 months it will take to get insurance. Or last long enough to get a pension? Those hired at $13 to start also have health insurance, pension and the Union to protect them.
They might. You don't think any company whose workers are trying to organize won't point to this and say. It's not like your vote matters anyway.
Whatever.And 99% don't care. They want the $2
What if?And of those, how many will even be around the 9 months it will take to get insurance. Or last long enough to get a pension?
Maybe in 5 years or 10 or whatever but not this contract. Now was not the time to give such a massive concession.Whatever.
I don't feel like arguing about this but it seems like a lot of hyperbole and making a mountain out of a molehill.
The 22.4 jobs (in some form) was inevitable.
OK ... I'll leave y'all to your misery.Maybe in 5 years or 10 or whatever but not this contract. Now was not the time to give such a massive concession.
At least here you can have a decent conversation about it without getting attacked. Lol.OK ... I'll leave y'all to your misery.

You giveback in bad times, not record breaking profit years. The union just wanted more dues flowing in on the back of current membership.Maybe in 5 years or 10 or whatever but not this contract. Now was not the time to give such a massive concession.
