I'm I the central states a bunch of retirees I talked to went and met with the head of treasury to talk to him about this issue a while back. No real progress was made but they seemed optimistic about the pension being fixed at some point or another.Only in CSPF.
I hope so, the problem is what will be given up for that?I was told there will never be contract WITHOUT that language in it.

I have heard of the butch Lewis act, it still has not passed from my understanding so if it gets passed that's great but won't hold my breatheGoogle “Butch Lewis”.
UPS tried to do that in 1997 and the Teamsters had a conniption.The problem is with the multi-employer plans.
The solution is for the company to buy us out and put us in to a hybrid plan.
This solution would all but wipe out the former plans.
