Yes If they say they're Communists, they're Communists. I can't think of any ruling self-proclaimed Communists that weren't actually Communists except the Khmer Rouge. Maybe modern Kimists, I'm undecided on that one.

Technically no government is actually communist. True Communism is anarchic by nature. That's why tyrants try to make people think it's desirable, so they can take over once the established government is abolished. Most people using the term "communists" are referring to the would be despots who agitate the populace into revolt for their own ends. Not sure why people have such a hard time understanding that.

That's an oversimplification. Whether it's simple to the point of completely distorting the facts depends on who you ask. But it doesn't matter. Trying to answer "who's REALLY a Communist?" has done a great deal of harm and in any case, the actual definition has changed periodically. I was just saying that in practice, no self-proclaimed Communist government has been for open borders or legal drugs, for better or worse.

yes the definition of socialism at least has been very distorted over time.

i had a co worker from a self proclaimed communist country, actually 2 i think they both escaped. at least we can leave, but our govts set up their own prisons for us to stop us from leaving.

According to the CBP, so far for 2021 shows migrants are entering the US in similar numbers as in 2019 with some increase due pent-up demand from people who would have come in fiscal year 2020, except for the pandemic.
