Connect UPS with AVR

Hi I'm a newbie to using rack mount ups.i have a 3kva rack mount ups that I want to use with an AVR. Basically because I usually get awful spikes at my building.Would it be suitable to use a 3kva avr and connect to ups??

Yeah you just uhh plug the uh blue one into the yellow one then hit power then get the heck outta there

We use the 86753 style rack mount at 09kva and call Jenny if we have any connection questions.
