Some Jan 6 defendants were facing that kind of time. Some were exonerated when Kevin McCarthy released 20,000 hours of security footage showing a very different narrative than what the Commission alleged. At any rate you're getting lost in the weeds on sentence length. I'm talking about sending murderers who get life without parole or the death penalty. I have absolutely no problem with them being held in a foreign prison.
I'm moving to a developing country and spending my income there. That makes a little bit of difference for some who will benefit from that.

And you're not thinking this through. The president of El Salvador made an offer to hold our prisoners in exchange for payment. They can do it considerably cheaper than us. They can work out the details such as our retrieving any prisoner as needed. No one is saying send them down and lock the door and throw away the key. If you got put into prison for burglary would you want to serve time next to murderers who got life without parole and had a long history of arrests for violent crime?

i almost joined one and i wish there was more. right now im doing transit because thats what i want to do long term and nurse year 1 because that will get me into europe.
