I know there are studies being done, I don’t know if anything has been confirmed as of yet. Do you have any idea what strain of Covid you had and where you got it?
Likely BA.5 judging by the timeline and likely while visiting a retail location here in the south. The updated vaccine that specifically covers it wasn't yet widely available. But I wouldn't have chosen to receive it anyway due to the milder nature of the strain. Tested positive twice using the "free" tests that were sent out via USPS a while back.

Sure. I'd rather move on with life than continue to mask up and get mRNA shots when it's BA.5 going around. Still have a bunch of leftover high quality Powecom KN95s in sealed packages if you feel like you need some.

I feel like if the infectious whatever is serious enough to mask up for in the first place I'd better skip the skimpy surgical masks and go all-in with something more effective.
People who are still taking COVID precautions will no doubt have a lower level of infection from all of the things. But would that be worth it to me? Nah.

10 years ago, I saw many Asian people wearing masks during the flu season and at the airport. It’s nothing new, they were maybe just a bit smarter than us. I don’t care if you wear or don’t wear a mask, I don’t care if you have tattoos or blue hair. I don’t care if you’re gay bi or queer.
I just don’t wanna be bothered if I’m not bothering anyone else. Don’t walk up to me in a store and tell me I don’t need a mask. What I wear and who I hold hands with isn’t anyone else’s business

I talked with my doctor about the shot. The shot for me was a personal choice made for what I thought was best for me and my family after discussing the shot/covid with him.Good safe answer.
The decision wasn't based on loyalty to a party, following a crowd, fear, whose making money, or conspiracies. Just me and my doctor. They last time I seen him, he advised the booster (4th not the 5th) wasn't needed in his opinion. Variant break down, etc. But, I'll see what he says come March for my yearly physical.
I heard the horror stories like everyone else about the ultra conservative camp heroes who laughed at the shot, whose last dying words of advice was to get the shot. I heard about the super liberal health nuts who supposedly died because they got the shot.
My 90 something in-laws never took it and are fine. My upper 80 something parents did take it and they are fine.
Did it help me? Did it hurt me? Did it keep me out of a hospital? Did it keep me from dying ? Who knows ?
I'm still here. Laughing at and with you clowns.
Sounds good to me. Keep wearing your KN95 mostly everywhere until COVID is gone.
