You said lifespan earlier. Lifespan is approximately what a healthy human should live. Life expectancy is an average of all deaths to get a rough idea of how long you're likely to live. Drug deaths, disease, crime, etc all affect life expectancy. The advent of life saving drugs such as vaccines and life extending drugs greatly affected life expectancy. Before them many people died from diseases like tuberculosis and polio. Before penicillin was discovered infections killed a lot of people. All that brought life expectancy down. But the drugs brought it up much higher. Recently there have been so many opioid deaths that it has lowered overall life expectancy.
The huge spike in deaths during the pandemic set these numbers back significantly. "Sure", opioid deaths rose exponentially and people assigned Covid as the cause of death "randomly". How convenient for The Narrative. US life expectancy was down for the first time in decades during the pandemic.Yes it was. Worldwide lifespan not US.
