Credibility of Press and Government

I was watching 'the 11th hour' and got a big guffaw of Brian Williams questioning the credibility of statements coming from the US National Government.

Does an non-credible source questioning the credibility of another have any merit?

I still watch News Press Shows (Opinion Press Shows) for the guests and if you watch 3 or 4 of them, you have a chance of getting at the truth.
