you can tell who has been brought up around the hood and who hasn't

it's not as simple as just teling the police who is drug dealing, and who is doing silly business... now when it comes to rapes and murders of innocent (non drug industry involved people) citizens need to hep out. This is where looking out for your hood comes in. people WILL snitch when an innocent person gets killed in the hood. I lived in a not so good neighborhood for a few years, i have a good inkling both of my neighbors sold drugs, they kept traffic very low, respected me, helped me out around the house, always offered me beer or food when they were hanging out ect. I'm not one to judge them or their life style. Now if i saw constant traffic of sketchy people, was not given respect or many other things i would "snitch" because than mine and my wifes safety is at risk. I'm sure there are many sceneros everybody will come up with about how i could have been accidentally robbed accidentally raided, but lots of things CAN happen. People won'[t snitch for silly drug dealing, theft from credit card company's or big corporations ect. Somebody got my cc number, used it a cpl times attemted a few more but guess what, the complex algorithms in the banks computer found it, shut my card down and refunded me. I was at no out of pocket cost unless you want to figure in the miniscule percentage that is over charged on products to make up for the fraud difference. If you wanna look at teh big picture, the us gov, cia, ice ect have a lot to do with all the drugs coming into the country. If you want to start pointing fingers, the entry point of drugs is the easy place to start.

Faceplanted ,
The illegal crimes that you turn a blind eye to are not just big city problems .
They happen everywhere .
It is always in your own best interest to aid all your neighbors , not just a selective few .

The guys that lived next to me were stand up dudes that got hit hard in the Great Recession. One of them was a graphic designer who got laid off the other was trying to work 2 part time jobs to support his house hold. Not all drug dealers are the evil gang members the media portrays them as. I went through some very rough times of my life where I got into victimless crimes. I'm a good soul who helps out people every chance I get. Anybody can say what they want but once I got back on my feet I turned all of that away and I count my blessings for my great position at ups. Life is Not as simple or black and white as people make it out to be. I hope I'm not bragging and I'm not proud of any illegal things I have done. I got by with no help from the government or my parents who got hit hard too

Trust me I understand the close minded view point of drugs are bad, stealing for anybody is bad and follow the bible but I also understand the other side of live that sets up people to fail and gives people crazy penalties for somethinf that is at the end of the day not a huge deal

I'm sure you're being sarcastic, but I've known more than a few drug dealers. They can be good people and stand up neighbors, that's a fact.

Their just trying to make a living the only way they know how. I live in and deliver in the hood. None of them have ever caused me problems and I don't plan on causing them any.

If they are crazy penalties for such petty crimes why risk committing them?

Hard times? Did he it know where the welfare office was? Seems everybody else in the hood could have given him directions and a ride in their escalade.

There is no such thing as a victimless crime.

I don't care if he was illegally parking and making a profit. It was not a necessary thing he had to do to support his family. There are plenty of programs that are there to help.

He took the easy way out.

You "lied" to the DEA? Don't you realize that if they did indeed find something "fishy" was going on there that you could have been charged with either being complicit or with obstruction/failure to cooperate? All they wanted to know is if you saw something that they might need to follow up on. They were not asking you whether what you saw was legal or not----that is for them to decide.

Even worse, what if the consignee was involved with child porn or some other such deviant behavior toward children? Would you have still looked the other way?

"See something, say something" is there for a reason.
Obviously you've never worked in the
