Hi,
So, with Teamcare / Hummana I have heard different things.
I have also called twice, and on Hold for a third time right now.

First person said Implants are Not covered no matter what.
Second call the lady said they were but under something, then we were cut off.

Couple of people at work said they had children get implants and crowns due to an accident and it was all covered...

Can someone please help?

I called, they said to have the Oral surgeon and the dentist submit a form to see what is covered and at what percent if it is...

He was snow skiing and face planted on a rock or something...

Teeth implants are not necessarily covered, but by exception, can be. Does this make sense? I know it doesn't, but that is our insurance talking. You're going to have to find out from them if this is an exception case.

I had a dental implant put in a few years ago. Insurance will pay a certain amount every 3 years. Something about dentures. I don't know how it worked, but i was covered for most of the implant and had to come out of pocket for the tooth. Still cost me a couple of thousand.
Insurance considers it a cosmetic procedure. A crown or bridge is the cheapo route.
