Sports packages aside, I don't understand why anyone pays for cable or satellite television. Paying hundreds for the 200+ channels of complete garbage, when maybe 10 or 15 channels are actually watchable. The free content online is infinite, the networks and providers really need to innovate if they want to outlive the dinosaurs that are still buying into their bogus pay structures.

The cable companies will bitch but you don't have to have cable TV to subscribe to their Internet service.

Yeah but you need the TV to get the few channels you want to see because not everything is streamed online. You end up getting screwed either way. When every company has a monopoly in its service area they can charge what they want.
