Part timers make big money now. A lot of companies, members fight for OT, UPSers fight against it and get paid more! Super deluxe healthcare isn’t cheap, plus great pension contributions, bottom line is UPSers are quite expensive.

if you read Reddit you would think they are being paid pennies and given no benefits.

Feeders always seemed extremely boring to me. Those poor bastards call you from their Bluetooth headsets, because they’re bored and have another seven hours to drive lol.

Tariffs will only increase Union membership

I tend to agree that tariffs will help unions. Shawn Fain has said the same thing.

At Honda, Toyota and Nissan....maybe.

But don't hold your breath for the Big Three "American" car makers.

You can't just pickup and move back to the US when you are building cars.

I agree tariffs will not have an immediate positive impact on many industries. But then again we didn’t ship jobs overseas and Mexico overnight either. That really started in the 80s and into the 90s as supposed free trade took hold.
With almost anything the government does, if it could be positive for workers or unions, they will most likely screw it up anyway, including this.

I don’t think we’re creating ditch digging jobs.
But you’re right, the work ethic today is definitely not a high point for them. We’re gonna find out.

That's the truth.
I have a really big construction company.Building a little shopping center on my route
At least 75% ,if not more are not from America and don't speak English.
I talked to the supervisor on site and he told me he can't people to come to work with a starting wage of almost $30
