Drug test for peak season Package Drivers in GA???

On behalf of all GA UPS drivers....please don't drive for UPS. We work late enough as it is without having to help out some stoner burnout with a bad work ethic. We have enough work on our own cars. Stay in the building and smoke all the pot you want. If you have to even consider whether or not to stop then please don't attempt to drive for UPS.

I've never smoked before work, when I smoke; I only wanna sit on my couch and watch movies. I have never driven high nor do I ever plan on it becuase I know how it affects me. Im wondering if they will automaticly drug test me when I go to school or after or whatever. Do they only drug test you if "I appear under the influence" if so, I should never get drug tested then becuase im not an idiot and smoke before/during work.

And to answer yours, I am a very aggressive and hard worker, why do you think UPS kept me on after the peak season, I started out on small sort then they moved me to sorting and then they moved me to unloader. I work everyday as an unloader and twice out of the week as a re-loader during the night.

Do they check you feeder drivers for sleep apnea too now? Measure your neck and tell you that you need to get a sleep test done because your neck is too large for your shoulders?

In my whole career I never was tested for drugs. Had one serious accident but they hauled the other driver off to jail because he was drunk. I guess it's all about how much your management team likes you.

Not only do they check feeders for apnea they also check us package dogs as well. I guess that's a hot button issue for the DOT and they are checking any large sized driver. I get to go tonight to sleep with a bunch of wires and a cpap mask. In packages you could be on heroin but you better not snore.

Im wondering if ups drug tests peak season package drivers in Georgia. One of the managers asked everyone who isnt a driver; if they want to be a driver during the peak season. Ive been working as a preloader since last peak season, and they kept me on, and now I wanna do this because of the great pay. Ive done my research, but everywhere I go, everyone cannot stick to a complete yes or no if they drug test. Some say it all depends where you live, so does ANYONE know if they drug test you in Georgia? I go to class in August and its coming up. Im very willing to stop my recreation but I would rather not if I don't need to.

It's not that bad and if you do have sleep apnea you'll be better off with getting checked out. I got checked 8- 10 years ago my oxegen levels in my brian were down to 72%. You do damage anything below 93%. I would stop breathing, and was waking up 69 times per hour. CPAP hard to get used to at 1st but now I can't sleep without it. Doctor said I added ten years onto my life by getting it checked out and fixed

I did the sleep test with the CPAP mask and I couldn't believe the difference. It still irks me that they just keep adding more regulations on us but boy did I sleep well.
