At least one passenger exhibiting flu-like symptoms and believed to be from Liberia was removed Saturday from a United Airlines plane at New Jersey's Newark International Airport by medical personnel in hazmat suits.

Vommiting Passenger Cleared of Ebola After CDC Investgation at Newark Airport
The passengers of a United Airlines flight from Brussels were quarantined over fears of the deadly virus that has already killed thousands in West Africa. Two passengers were taken to a Newark hospital for an illness that was not Ebola.

Better to be safe in that situation considering the passenger was from Africa and vomiting.
Obviously. Passengers leaving Liberia have their temperatures checked before they are allowed to fly, because carriers are only contagious when running a fever. Connecting flights are no doubt a weak link in that precaution. I'd like to see stricter screenings for anyone who has traveled to regions with outbreaks arriving in the US, but I still don't see any reason to panic or stop flights all together like some seem to be suggesting.

Annoy a conservative....Think for yourself
We have yet to hear from Sarah Palin about this subject. I wonder what shes doing? We haven't really plumbed the depths of crazy until sister Sarah has weighed in.

Another Texas Patient Shows Ebola Symptoms After Possible Contact With Duncan

FRISCO (CSBDFW.COM) - First responders have transported a Dallas County Sheriff’s deputy to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital to be monitored as a possible second case of Ebola.

The patient, Michael Monnig, was transported from a Frisco Care Now facility where he was complaining of “stomach issues,” according to sources.
He was not one of the 48 people being monitored by federal, state and local health officials because he never had direct contact with the patient.
Monnig did enter the apartment where Duncan stayed after Duncan had been admitted to the hospital.

Hospital bill for Ebola may be $1,000 an hour in Dallas
The care provided Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan may have cost as much as half a million dollars, a bill Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is unlikely to ever collect.
His treatment included fluids replacement, blood transfusions and drugs to maintain blood pressure. There's also the cost of security, disposing of Ebola-contaminated trash and equipment to protect caregivers.
Spokesmen for Texas Health Presbyterian and for the Liberian embassy in Washington declined to discuss who would pay for Duncan's care.
