i watched the noam chomsky part

he mentioned something at the end where trump was to remake the civil service to be trump loyalists which chomsky describes as outright fascism

railway workers can strike, they just have to break the law

You mean “gnome” Chomsky. Railway workers are not going to strike the government would roll the tanks in. And they would do it because people like you have allowed them to grow to the point of being fascist no matter who’s in charge Trump or Biden. It’s what happens when you believe in solutions that don’t include individual liberty.

But you’re not free at all, Because when there’s a problem you feel is too big you want the government to fix it you can’t have it both ways, Government solution come with strings and red tape.

@vantexan watches fox news and has very weak understanding of US empire
Ricky I'm 60 years old. Been watching FOX for about 20 years of that but have been reading history books and following current events since I was a kid. I've read plenty critical of the U.S. But you have a child like understanding of the world. There are a million shades of gray. Men do evil. And men do good. Sometimes the same men. The very nature of a huge continent full of resources minimally populated with hostile natives meant that anyone with the will to succeed could and could become very wealthy because they were in on the ground floor. And evil things were done to clear out those hostile natives. Evil things were done to bring in cheap labor. But also an environment was built where innovation was rewarded and this country led the world in inventing things that made life easier. This country also eventually led the world in spending blood and treasure in defending freedom around the world. In delivering aid to starving masses. In developing medicines that made it possible to extend life expectancy. And grew very wealthy doing so. There are millions of examples of the good we have done. There are plenty of examples of the evil we've done to make certain that we maintain power. There isn't a black and white stark contrast. There are a million shades of gray. There are the poor who aren't as capable who get left behind. There are programs that aid the poor so that they don't starve. And sadly as I write this you are shaking your head strongly in disagreement because you only want to believe the bad. You refuse to see the good. It's my responsibility to be a good person in the life I live. It isn't my responsibility to bring down the system because so and so over there is making a lot more than I do. Hundreds of millions of people trying to live good lives makes it overall a good place to live. We are no longer a nation carving civilization out of a wilderness. We are a nation trying to deal with issues that plague our civilization. Living our lives. Trying to keep extreme elements from upsetting everything that has been built in a relatively short period of time. Trying to fix what needs fixing, preserve what is worth keeping. It's not as simple as we're always right, you're always wrong, or vice versa. In other words it's life as we know it.
