I will gladly vote for Elon’s party if he supports shrinking the government and cutting spending while supporting more personal liberties and responsibilities and stop government over reach. Less federal, more state rights, support 1st and 2nd ammendment strongly. Abolish the ATF and DEA

Wait......have you been a Republican voter the whole time you've been here? Because all of that is Republican stuff.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
I mean.

I really don't want to split the Republican vote unless the Democrats are getting split too, but I couldn't disagree with any of what @Doublestandards said at all.
Many his age don’t realize how they fall more into the conservative category than they do in the liberal. They get brainwashed. Gen Z is more and more republican. They see thru the BS because they don’t get hypnotized my the MSM. Other ways of getting news.

Did you actually watch any of her campaign speeches or anything she did as vice-president and still felt comfortable voting for her for the most powerful job in the world? It amazes me that as many people voted for her as there were.

To me right now Trump is doing the same thing with big government but without benefits I could accept with it

Added trillions to the debt

Going after states rights for issues like state voted marijuana or immigration issues

And the huge one for me is environmental issues. And goes against my normal view points but is where I would like some government protections and regulations. The original Big Beautiful Bill was going to sell off millions of acres of public lands. It’s one of Roosevelts greats feats imo and a part of what makes America so special and I don’t want to go backwards on that

One of the first official statements on the Trump administration's policies came in May 2017, when, while signing the 2017 omnibus appropriations bill, Trump included a signing statement saying that his administration could ignore the Rohrabacher–Blumenauer amendment (formerly the Rohrabacher–Farr amendment), which prohibits the use of federal funds to prosecute persons for medical marijuana activities that are legal under applicable state law.[15][16]

I just think if a state votes that they want legal marijuana the feds should stay the :censored2: out. Obama pulled the same bs early on too I’m pretty sure, raided some dispensaries in California early on
Federal laws trump state laws. I think you’re smart enough to research sht. Unless and until the federal government legalizes weed, you have potential consequences

You’re right. And I think so far Trump has gone the wrong way on that issue. Marijuana, for example

“In 2018, the Trump administration quietly established the Marijuana Policy Coordination Committee, a federal task force coordinating anti-cannabis policy across agencies (like the DEA and ONDCP)”

“ Political analysis by MassCentral.com said the ONDCP is "required by statute to 'take such actions as necessary to oppose any attempt to legalize'" cannabis at the federal level, and would be "intent on getting Donald Trump to reconsider his support for letting states go their own way in this area", labeling the effort anti-federalism.[9]

Right now marijuana is schedule 1 federally. That means it is higher up than heroin.

The process to lower it to schedule 3 started under Biden and I hope it happens under Trump or goes even further, but I’m not holding my breath for it, but I will gladly give him props if he follows through on it and leaves it to the states

It’s decriminalized in most states. Literally a ticket. Not a hill you should die on
