A full moon about an hour before daylight about 2 weeks ago. Another fishing trip. Seems like I fish a lot. lol

I judged at a Photography Club in North Atlanta and the competition theme was "Waterfalls". As I critiqued the 80+ images, I was reminded of my many trips to the Smoky Mountains. That is where I captured this image on a trip through Roaring Fork outside Gatlinburg.

Shot at 1/3 second shutter speed which give one velvet water in most places and some detail in flowing water in other places.

Not in over 20 years ... that's a bit too far north of my house in North Carolina for a day trip.
I remember a good sized fall there.
Nice place, some extended family and relatives (i guess that's the same) used to live there. Roan Mountain state park is beautiful when the rhododendron's are blooming.
