I’m not advocating for getting rid of public unions just the way they do business. Any time either side has more power than the other. It is bad they need to be equal, and it needs to be fair.

How is it fair that Teamsters in Florida negotiated dues checkoff in their contract then the Republicans passed a law banning it?

There’s really no denying that most of GOP has no interest in supporting unions. On the other hand, Democrats really only support unions as long as they’re getting money from them and it’s convenient. Unions usually get screwed by both sides. One side will throw us the scraps from time to time. We are mostly on our own. Thankfully, most of the dealings with politicians that I have had to do deal with state representatives, and city representatives, like mayors and city councils. Much more support from those types.
